RAF Dakota Flypast

‘The Douglas C-47 Dakota is without a doubt, one of the most successful aircraft designs in history.’ - RAF

Eyes to the skies for this specially arranged flypast! This year the Royal Air Force will be returning to Vintage By The Sea, set to soar again over the blue skies of Morecambe Bay in a Douglas C-47 Dakota. You can catch this from any part of the festival but we highly recommend you watch from The Midland Green or walk up the Stone Jetty for a rousing experience with the congregated crowds. Times to be announced for this once a day event.

Bradford to Morecambe Car Rally

From Bentleys to Buicks, you’ll be able to feast your eyes on over 140 vintage cars arriving along the promenade in a grand cavalcade to the Bay area, as they finish the route of this traditional 130 miles round trip rally. For one day only, you’ll be able to see this historic parade of classic cars, bikes and buses glide across the magnificent backdrop of Morecambe Bay. (Sunday Only)

Street Performances, Various Locations

Our vintage themed entertainers might pop-up anywhere at the festival! Unexpected and surprising, watch out for roaming street acts including quick-talking ‘Viv the Spiv’ who’ll try and sell you your own grandma’s nylons, Jean and Morag everybody's favourite rambunctious ‘Tea Ladies’ with their flower-clad tricycle, compere extraordinaire ‘Paulus’ and pioneers of all things vintage, retro and wonderfully absurd, the ladies who call themselves ‘Kitsch & Sync.’

Look out for Gacko our bona-fide showman, storyteller and songwriter equipped with a two-wheeled trunk of family-friendly tales, ditties and comedy routines as he picks a spot to tell you his larger-than-life imagined tales.
