Put your foot to the pedal and experience a small slice of the new Morecambe Bay Cycle Way on a Vintage Bike Ride, from the back of the Midland Hotel to the Venus and Cupid Statue stopping at Happy Mount Park for tea & cake on the return. Show off your classic racer, ‘sit up & beg’ or 60s shopper whilst taking in the fabulous natural landscape of the bay.
Our judges will cast a stylish eye or two over the congregated cyclists, awarding Vintage Festival’s notorious Best in Show rosettes and prizes to the most outstanding vintage bikes and cyclewear on display. Book in advance for your free space on the Bike Ride here.
Jump on board the Vintage Mobile Cinema, featured in Channel 4’s Amazing Spaces, as it returns to the festival! In 1967, The Ministry of Technology built seven of custom mobile cinema units to tour the country, promoting modern production techniques to British industry. Fast-forward fifty years and Vintage by the Sea are very proud to present this this 32 seater cinema that has been carefully and beautifully restored, the last known survivor of the original seven. Inside the cinema, you can watch specially selected footage about the history of nostalgic seaside Morecambe, in a 10-12 minute show reel.
Be prepared to be papped with your handsome furry friends, the Pooch Parade is back by popular demand! In true Vintage by the Sea style, we expect matching outfits with man’s best friend, preened pooches and no expenses spared in this puppy filled, tail wagging, showcase!
Enter your pooch into the parade to compete for Most Terrific Trick, Best Vintage Costume, Most Comely Coiffeur Hairstyle and much more!
