Rethink the World - A Bauhaus Art School at Vintage by the Sea


A birthday celebration of the centenary of The Bauhaus, commissioned for Vintage by the Sea. Join artists Charles Kondras, Ben Hall, and a charismatic collective of workshop leaders​ in a pop-up Bauhaus School installation. This radically contemporary art school opened in 1919 encouraging new ideas and experimentation in the arts, design, architecture and education, continuing to influence design and culture for the last 100 years. Enter the schoolroom installation and take part in a workshop reflecting on the disciplines and crafts taught there.

Classic Car Show



The Classic Car Show returns to Morecambe, showcasing a handpicked selection of stunning vintage vehicles with the backdrop of the iconic Midland Hotel. Our encyclopedic array of cars from Alvis to Zundapp, takes in Triumphs, Morris Minors, the star vehicle from Life on Mars and a Leyland Leopard. Visitors will be taken on journey through truly vintage automotive design. Introducing this year, Vintage by the Sea awards the most prestigious vehicle with the  Classic Car Best in Show prize!

Pooch Parade


Be prepared to be papped with your handsome furry friends, the Pooch Parade is back by popular demand! In true Vintage by the Sea style, we expect matching outfits with man’s best friend, preened pooches and no expenses spared in this puppy filled, tail wagging, showcase! 

Enter your pooch into the parade to compete for Most Terrific Trick, Best Vintage Costume, Most Comely Coiffeur Hairstyle and much more! Tin Type Trailer



A theatrical side-show exploring the evolution of flash photography from the early magnesium ribbon, to flash powder. Presented to the crowds assembling outside The Tin Type Trailer, a fabulous traveling Victorian darkroom! After the show, have your own tin type portrait made using the 19th Century process called ‘wet plate collodion’ and take home an authentic vintage momento!

In Conversation with Dave Haslam



Dj, writer, journalist and cultural commentator; join Dave Haslam and a guest interviewer in conversation, as he reflects on a career as one of the musical pioneers of the Hacienda generation and beyond. Inspiring countless musical creatives himself, Dave discusses the music, clubs and characters that inspired his own journey and why Northern club culture holds a special place in British music history. Dave will also be heading the After Party line up at the festival so book your tickets now!

Pop up Charleston Dance Classes with Antony and Steph



Toes-in, heels-out and twist those steps! It’s all in the knees, as Antony and Steph show you the basic moves to get you ‘Runnin Wild’. In these free drop in dance sessions in the courtyard, have a go at the Charleston, Lindy Hop and Jive! If you’re really keen, you can join in all three sessions a day.
