Vintage is so much more than a music festival – it's a veritable feast of art, craft, creativity and serendipitous fun.
Vintage has art and design flowing through its veins. Opportunities to have a go at painting, designing and generally getting creative are everywhere. At Vintage you can learn a new skill or revive an old one with help from our expert tutors. Turn your hand to knitting, stitching, upcycling and quilting in our daily workshops.
Take in catwalk shows featuring the personal collections of designers, models, noted vintage experts and the archives of some of the world’s finest fashion houses. Enjoy exhibitions featuring design classics from furniture to technology, gaming machines, graphics and the coolest classic scooters, cars and motorcycles.

The Bad Art Salon celebrates.... Bad art! Artists, non-artists and amateurs of all ages, owners and collectors of unusual artwork are encouraged to submit their entry for our 2012 gallery. 'Found art' from car-boot sales and charity shop finds are as welcome as the output of talented art school graduates, adult education institutes or anyone with a box of crayolas.
The Bad Art Salon will be judged and winners selected by Vic Reeves. See our Bad Art Salon Blog HERE>

Inspired by the bohemian high jinks of yesteryear the Vintage Art School is your chance to get in tune with your creative side, attend a masterclass, or drop in on artists, musicians and designers in conversation about their misspent youth.
British Art icon Sir Peter Blake has taken inspiration from his most famous piece of work, The Beatles’ Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club album cover, to create a new piece of artwork especially for The Vintage Festival. Sir Peter has relooked at the icons for the renowned artwork from 1967 and selected people who have inspired his creative career over the past six decades to mark his 80th birthday celebrations being held at Vintage Festival.
Vintage Festival will dedicate Sunday 15th July to celebrating Sir Peter’s birthday at Vintage. An exhibition of Sir Peter’s work will be on display as well as a dedicated Sunday night headliner show with special musical performers invited by Sir Peter himself. Read more about it HERE>

Of course the fun of Vintage is that you just have to join in. Against a backdrop of the Vintage Workshops, you could learn a new skill or revive an old one with expert tutors and stitch and sew masters on hand to help.

The Great British High Street - an
institution in itself – is the heart of the town, great for people
watching and, of course, SHOPPING! It is something that we think must be
celebrated, along with all the great shops, café, bars and bustle that
make a High Street buzz with life.
Our pop up Vintage High Street is
audacious but has proved to be one of the defining attractions of the
event. The Vintage High Street is a place to promenade, shop, watch
street artists, eat and drink to your heart’s content or just sit and
take in the magic of High Street, with the authenticity of a film set,
in the middle of a field!
Previous retailers and brands who
featured include John Lewis, Fortnum & Mason, Cath Kidston, Dr
Martens, Body Shop, Benefit, Kenwood, Horrockses, Bonhams, Oxfam
(breaking all previous retail records) and many more.

A plethora of interesting and unusual classic cars, bikes, scooters, caravans and campervans from across the decades will be on display during the Vintage Festival weekend... From iconic DeLoreans, Hot Rods and Vespas to stunningly sleek Airstreams and gramophone DJs spinning 78s from the back their Citroen H Vans.
