The time was late 1979...the place was the Blitz Club, Soho in London.
DJ Rusty Egan, soon to be drummer with Visage along with singer and style guru Steve Strange, was moonlighting himself into iconic DJ status. Rusty's choice of tunes would single-handedly shape the music of the coming decade.
Already a convert of Rusty's eclectic mix was Steve Norman. He had a band too and he and his mates soon became the Blitz Club's house band. They called themselves Spandau Ballet and would soon be the hottest unsigned group on the planet.
These two 80s icons have re-united after all these years to remind us not only of their bands' legacy but of the indisputable quality and abundance of music that the decade of the 80s produced.
Proud of their club credentials, Steve and Rusty perform a live DJ set of the coolest and best known tunes from the decade. Rusty's vast knowledge of remix versions of classic tunes we know and love are the perfect platform for Steve to improvise over with his sax and his percussion. Every show is an event. Every performance is unique.
